Chuffton the Blacksmith’s assistant
Chuffton started life as the small mechanical toy of a former wizard cop. Godfey the blacksmith started his career as a halfing wizard cop. However, he soon grew tired of the daily grind of it and decided to pursue his real passion. The craft of magical items. Having spent a great deal of time in the ‘Illegal Magic Items Department’ He had a good understanding of the trade. He worked alongside a Tiefling named Shade, who always seemed to both hate him for no reason and try his best to out-compete him in everything.
After opening a store in the Greater South Ford, Godfey focused his work on small mundane magical items and toys. He grew in reputation as both a toy maker and high end personalised magic item crafter. One of his greatest creations was a small copper wind up toy in the shape of a lizard. It sat on his shelf for many months before one fateful day. Shade, the wizard cop was on a job nearby and saw his former rivals store and decided he needed to cause him more grief. He cast a spell on the small lizard, hoping it would turn into a real life one and begin to trash the place.
However, Godfey poured his good-hearted nature into his work and Chuffton the humanoid lizard came about. Chuffton quickly made himself useful around the place and has worked as Godfey’s assistant for a long time. It wasn’t until recently that Godfey started crafting magical weapons as well on the request of many rich and fancy wannabe lords who headed off to the war. Chuffton has also recently expressed an interest in taking up more work in the forge as an apprentice. Much to Godfey’s delight. His first job was helping Godfey repair a carriage of an old friend. - ISAAC
