Nostalgia meets realism this week, when we discuss one of Jane's favourite literary heroines in Anne with an E.
In this episode we discuss (with little to no knowledge) the history of queer communities in turn-of-the-century Canada, and question the heteronormative default. We also examine intergenerational tension that comes from changing societal expectations, and how trauma can manifest itself in a detachment from reality, or an overactive imagination. That all sounds really serious, but I promise we have fun as well!
